Kacy was in Borders. It was about eight at night. She loved how on random days she'd find Borders open. She loved to just sit there and read books until it was time to leave. Right now, she was standing in the mystery section, reading one of the books there.
She had on a light blue long sleeved shirt on that seemed very big on her, since she was really skinny, and blue jeans. She had on black flip flops, and her hair was styled so it came over her left eye. On random days, her hair would do that. She didn't know why.
There weren't that many people in Borders that late; usually people thought she was weird when she wandered in at night only. Although no one ever questioned. She was partly glad about that; she hated people questioning her. But now, she was lonely; she wanted one of her friends around right now to talk to. To bug. Just to hang out with.

Eight Oclock on a Friday night, Know where you can find Calista Massenet? Why Borders Silly. Cali had a part time job at Borders, and usually worked late on Fridays when all of her friends where out partying it up at the club. She sighed as she picked up a box of books, looking at the Title. "'DEADLY SHOALS, by Joan Druett' Mystery Section" She said to her self as she heaved the box up and wobbled her way over to the mystery section. She loved Borders at night, She was allowed to listen to her Ipod as she put new books out. Currently she was listening to an older song, "Something to talk about."
She hummed along to the song as she put the box down and Emptied it onto an empty shelf. She was completely unaware of anyone else in the store.

Mystery book usually caught her attention. Kacy had no idea why; they just did. Sometimes she just zoned out while reading. But when she heard humming, she nearly jumped up and looked around wildly. She had forgotten where she was. But when she saw Cali, she smiled a small smile and walked over quietly behind her, glancing at the books she was putting in. Definitely something she'd soon buy.
She tapped her on the shoulder saying, "Mind if I grab a copy to read?"

'I felt so foolish, I never noticed, you'd act so nervous, could you be falling for me?' Cali listened to the song, quietly humming along. She jumped, some one was tapping her shoulder. She laughed at herself for being so jumpy and looked up. She was pleasently surprised. It was Kacy Cravers, a close friend of Cali's, and a vampire, but not many people knew that. Cali nodded, and handed her a copy of the book, "Lemme know if its any good." Cali said with a grin. Cali was a book worm, she would read almost any book she could get her hands on. "So, how are things at the Cave?"

She looked at the back of the book for the summary. Seemed pretty interesting. "Definitely. Seems like a pretty good book." She looked up at her. "Right now...should be pretty empty. You know, the others are probably out. I got bored and had nothing to read. And I remembered you worked here. Though I kind of didn't expect to see you here."

Calista grinned, "I know, I almost neglected my duties to read it." She admitted with a shrug. She nodded her head as Kacy talked about the cave being empty. She raised her eyebrows "Really? Why wouldnt you have expected to see me here. I pretty much spend most of my time here, eithere here or with London."

She sheepishly grined. "Honestly? I'd forgotten you worked here. And especially on Fridays. Though, i sort of forgot today was Friday..." She'd lost track of things lately. She had no idea why; she just couldn't seem to recall things or be able to focus on anything much.
