Cali took in a deep breath of air. Oh how she loved the forest! It was her second favorite place to be. Her first being in the lake. That was where she was headed on this fine sunny day. Most girls would shudder at the thought of swimming in a lake, especially if this lake was in the woods, but not Cali. Cali loved the forest and all of its creatures. Even the ones that few people knew about. Cali smiled, thinking fondly of Zander, and Kacy, and the one person who the mere thought of made her blush.
Most people didn’t think the forest was safe, But Cali didn’t care. Infact, if her parents knew she was here, they would freak. This is why she had left her mother a message on her machine informing her that Cali would be at Borders...Working an extra shift. Cali grinned, Lying to her mother was becoming easier and easier as the days progressed.
Cali approached the water, and slipped off her flip-flops. She dipped her toe in the water and smiled. It was perfect. She slowly walked in, until the water hit her waist, then she started floating on her back. This was the perfect place to lay back and think, and that was exactly what Cali needed to do. Clear her mind.

London walked out of the cave, passing the water fall as usual. Now the sight of it makes him sick. He hated living there. He wished he would be at Europe or somewhere more exotic he has never seen. He never understood how vampires can be satisfied with there life living in there. The only reason he did stay around for was Calista. The only thing worth staying around for.
He was dressed in a simple dark sweater, and a pair of jeans. He smelled her in the forest, and now a day he really hated to smell her here. She knew this wasn’t exactly the safest place anymore. Those Nymphs were in there forest as guest, but they didn’t mind taking a human to Common Place for just to take her life for no other reason then fun.
He didn’t take his time walking through the forest and taking in the scenery, he has seen it too many times. After a few moments of the forest passing him, not even in a blur he was sitting in front of the water staring at his love. The only reason he bothered to stay here. He didn’t bother saying a word, just watching her made him pleased.
He never did understand what she saw in him. Se deserved a human, one she could live her life with. Why did she want to give up her life? She doesn’t understand how lucky she is. She had a life ahead of her? He had a job ahead of his. What was so pleasing about that? What did she see in living forever? Those were some of the questions that passed through his mine when ever he saw her. (Sorry ish crap.)

Have you ever had the feeling that someone was watching you? The really creepy feeling you get that makes you look around several times just to make sure? Well Calista had that feeling. She put her feet down to stand, not realizing that she wasn’t where she could touch. After almost going under she swam closer to shore, cussing a little bit.
Cali had a tendency to be a bit clumsy, which is why her parents hated her going into the forest, or even into the city by herself. Finally she could touch, so she stood up and looked around, instantly spotting London. She couldn’t help but get the worlds goofiest grin on her face. She loved this guy way to much. She didn’t even refer to him as her boyfriend anymore, no, he was much more than that. He was her soulmate. She couldn’t imagine life with out him. Infact, she wanted to be with him forever…literally.
She walked over towards him, not bothering to dry off. She sat beside him, throwing her arms around him in a hug. “Hey you, I was hoping I would see you here.”
[Sucks. Sorry.]

[No it doesn't.]
He watched her clumsily attempt to get out of the water. He of course was going to jump at the slightest slip of the leg. Of course he would probably get her out before her eyes can go under. After a few moments of that, she made it out. And she made her way to him. He held his breath for a few moments as she wrapped her arms around him. “Hey, and I was hoping to see you at home. But I guess here is fine as well.†London said, he really didn’t want to put her arms around her. Especially if she was wet. London hated when she got sick, so he made sure to be careful when he put his hands around her.
He played wit her wet hair, being careful not to touch her. He watched her for a bit waiting for an explanation why she showed up in the lake unannounced. Fairies, not sounding very vicious, are as mad as nymphs and what would he do if she got hurt. Of course he would be a prime target for the hunters. He would kill anyone who ever even thought to hurt Calista.
After a few moments of this, he became uncertain if she understood his silence or not. He thought about it for a second, and he decided he was going to wait. Calista might just jump on the whole transforming topic. He had a very nice surprise for her if she decided to jump on it again. Actually, he’s been carrying it around and he was ready to bring it out at any minuet.

She gave a sigh, "Its so boring at my apartment, I have told you that several times. There is nothing to do when you arent there, and I spend all my time staring at the clocking waiting for you to come, which makes the time go by even slower...." She explained, using overly dramtic hands. Cali was one of those people who couldnt help but talk with her hands. It was a bad habit that was far to hard to break.
Silence filled the place as London sat and played with her wet hair. After a few moments, it was still quite. Calista knew exactly what he was waiting for. An explanation on why she was at the lake without telling him. She knew he really didnt like her going into the woods alone. Even less now that there were Fairies out and about. She really didnt feel she owed him an explanation, but she knew he would get one anyway.
"Ok...OK. I know you dont like me coming out here by myself. You know how bored I get, and I felt like a swim. The public pool is far too crowed." She said. "You know...If I was a vampire you wouldnt ever have to worry about me. It really isnt fair that you have to worry about me all the time. It would be easier on the both of us." She knew this wasnt going to get her anywhere. London would just brush it off with something about not making her a monster, and then he would cleverly change the subject. He always did that.

He watched her wave around her arms; she was very animated when she talked. He thought it was always kind of cute, not the usual wave here and there. “You know if I could I would be at your house during the nights.†He said continuing to play with her hair.
He mentally grinned when she began with the vampire thing. “Yes, it would be easier. But, why do you want to become a vampire? And, I mean really why do you want to become a vampire?†He said giving her faint smile. He was ready to ask her after she answers him. Well unless it’s a different answer then he expected.

She sighed, "Yes...I know you would be..." she said simply. The whole him being a vampire thing really did suck for her. If only she were a vampire as well, they could spend loads of time together, unstead of the limited time they got to spend together. The sun was out, warming her up and drying her off. She wrapped her arms around her legs as London continued to play with her hair.
At his remark she turned her head towards him and raised a brow. "Your kidding me right?" She unwrapped her hands from her legs and placed a hand on top of his knee. "London, I have told you this several times. I want to be with you forever. For as long as I can. If I become a vampire, then I can be with you forever, in the literal sense. I hate that we cant be with eachother more, and that you always have to constantly worry about me." She dropped her voice lower, "Plus, If I become a vampire, then I wont have to worry about someone taking you away from me...."

He dropped his arms the moment she turned around. He let his smile stay on his face as she began. “So, what are you willing to give me for your immortality?†He asked quietly, just wanting to see if she can get something more besides marriage out of this. Maybe a few more years. He knew she wasn’t going to go for that much, but might as well give it a try.
He stared at her face and reached out for one of her hands, he gripped it as softly as possible so he wouldn’t hurt her at all. He continued examining her for several moments waiting for her response. Maybe she was willing to live a few more years. She did want to become a vampire so badly he would be extremely lucky to get at least a year out of her. Maybe by the end of the year he could figure out a way to make sure she didn’t turn into a vampire. He could find a reason why she shouldn’t be one.

She thought for a moment. She knew he wasnt really keen on her becoming a vampire, but she didnt think he would bargin with her. It was actually kind of amusing. She stifled a grin that was trying to escape and she seriously thought about the question he had asked her. She knew he wanted to get out of town, maybe she could bargin moving where ever he wanted. She knew they would have to leave after she became like him. But maybe if she agreed to go anywhere with him, no questions asked. No, that wouldnt work, she would follow him to the end of the earth in a heart beat, and he knew that. She knew he had something in mind, otherwise he wouldnt be bargining with her.
She stared at him for a moment. "I'm not sure London. Probably anything." She said adding, "With-in reason." She knew if she said anything, he would say 20 years or something crazy. What good would she be in 20 years? She would be 38, her life almost over. She raised her brow and stared at him suspicously, "What did you have in mind?" She dared to ask. She could deal with a month or two, but there was no possible way she could do more than that.

He gave a small smile with her look. She did look absolutely interested in this. She also looked a bit suspicious. He gave a small smile, and stared at her. “Anything? 5 more years.†He said simply, he kept a somewhat straight face. It was more like a crooked smile. He tried to keep himself looking innocent like he wasn’t planning this. Of course he planned it; he was planning it for a bit now.
“Does that sound reasonable? I think it does. I think it is very reasonable.†He said, still with the crooked smile. He held her warm hand in his still. He was probably going to have much more then five years the moment he breaks out the ring. She will flip, and think he was mad. Maybe she would agree. Still, it would be a marriage. At least he would have that.

She stared at him in disbelief. "FIVE YEARS?" She practically yelled. This wasnt good. No, this wasnt good at all. She could wait another five years. Five years from now she would be 23! This could not happen. She needed something else to bargin. She would give him three months. That seemed very resonable to her, after all, she had been waiting for months already. She was about ready to walk into the forest and ask the first vampire she met to bite her, in the literal sense. She slowly shook her head. She knew she had to have had a look of horror on her face.
"That is not reasonable at all London Bennet!" She said, still shaking her head. "Three months, that is as long as I will wait. Three. No more. I have already waiting long enough. You know I am not a person who likes to wait a long time for something she really wants. And there is nothing I want more!" She still couldnt believe he had went as far as five years. He should have known better than that, that was simply foolish!

“London Jaxith Bennett.†He corrected simply, the smile leaving from his face. She only used his full name when she was angry. Or just a little bit frustrated. “Three years.†He said again leaning forward so he can have his ace as close as possible that was comfortable. He had to make sure he can also get the marriage thing in, that can possibly buy him more time then the three years.
He will never understand what she sees in him. Why she wanted to stay with him forever, or maybe it wasn’t him at all. It was her wanting immortality. Did she not understand the curse that came with this? He didn’t sign up for this, some passing vampire took a bite at him. They didn’t even bother to take him with them; they just thought he was dead. Apparently they were wrong.

"Fine" she said with a sigh, "London Jaxith Bennet." She said rolling her eyes. It was times like this that he made her angry, but yet, she couldnt stay angry at him for more than a few seconds. She gave a sigh, and gave him a small smile. She even laughed a little when he moved his face closer. "Nuh-uh." She said shaking her head again. "Three months." Another thing about Cali is that she was as stubborn as a mule. "Three monthes Love." It was amazing to her that as stubborn as she was, that he was still with her. That he hadnt gotten tired of her, and left her, or tried to do the world a favor and take her life.
She smiled at him, a very faint, soft smile. She knew it had to be weird for him, her wanting him to bite her. Most of the people who knew probably thought she only wanted immortality, but infact it wasnt. She wanted London. Forever. "London, I cant wait longer than three monthes. I want to be with you forever, and the sooner, the better. I would hate for you to get swept away by some beautiful vistor. It would kill me."

He gave another crooked smile, she was worried about that. That’s what’s worrying her the most? “No one can sweep me away from you.†He said, leaning closer and kissing her. He made sure she knew he really meant it at the moment. He wanted to make sure she had nothing to worry about when it came to that. How could she possibly think that? He loved her far too much for anything like that to happen. Even after the centuries no one could honestly replace her.
After a few moments of kissing her he pulled away and whispered in her ear, “The only way I will turn you into a vampire is if you marry me first.†He slowly moved his face away, giving her a small smile. He really couldn’t wait for what she has to say for this. Yeah, it would hurt if she said no but he would be able to buy time for her life to continue.

She felt a little relived when London said those words. And any trace of doubt that was left in her mind was erased when he kissed her. She knew she shouldnt have been so pariniod, but when you looked as plain as Cali did, and you were dating a guy who could cause a traffic accident if he were to stand on the side walk, because he was that gorgeous, you tend to worry. London was like a God, and Cali, she looked like the woman who would end up being spinster with a zillion cats. What a life.
Calista kind of froze for a second. Had she really heard him right? She studied his face for a moment. He was staring back at her with a small smile. She must have heard him right. This is what the bargining had been about. True, she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, so why was she hestitating? She went to say something, but her mouth was too dry to talk. She could hear her heart pounding in her chest, if it were any louder she feared it would jump out. What would her family say? Her friends? But wait...what did it matter? In the end wasnt this about London and herself? People had to have known it was going to happen anyway. She looked back up at him and nodded yes. After she found her voice she said, "But only 3 weeks now." She gave a small smile
