Zander sat outside Wal-Mart. He stared blankly at the black pavement for more then two hours now. Some of the staff was taking bets on how much longer he was gonna stay. He actually didn’t know. It was Friday afternoon; he had absolutely no plans for this weekend like he usually did. He had no life really. Outside is ‘pack’ this is what he usually did besides hanging around with Kacy. He did have a few other plans, but they weren’t as cool as Kacy.
After a few moments he heard whispering of some of the staff pleading that he left. He thought about it for a few minuets, and he decided: He was going inside. He got up from the floor, brushing off the scum from the street off his denim jeans.
He walked inside, some of the Staff pleased with themselves he scanned the isles for a few minuets. Then he found it: THE BALL OF DOOM! It was one of those giant balls that he uses to play with when he was younger. Now he just used them to throw them down the isle to see how many people he can get by accident. Or how many people will chase him down Wal-Mart.
He picked one red ball, and he dribbled it down all the way to the first isle. He watched it, concentrating at the other end. After a few seconds, he tossed it. Pleased that it bounced back and hit an unaware kid’s knee who seemed stunned that a ball came out of nowhere.
After repeating the process a good ten times, he got bored. Now, he found himself staring at cereal wondering which one would taste the best. He stared on and on, and somehow he fell asleep with his eyes wide open and standing up examining a Frosted Flakes box.

It was that time of the week yet again: shopping time. Instead of going to a normal grocery store like everyone else in town, Maxine Robbins went to Wal-Mart. Why not? It had everything that she needed, wether it be frozen pizzas, boxes of cereal, or whatever she felt like having for the next week or so. Caitlin had raised Maxine's family to be complete health freaks; She couldn't take it. She decided shopping for herself with her own money was the best way to go. That way, she didn't have to eat the crap that Caitlin served, but whatever she felt like whenever she wanted it.
Her cart filled with frozen TV dinners and boxes of cookies and mini-donuts, she eventually made her way to the cereal aisle. Now, this was where her major dilemma came into play. There were so many delicious cereals, it was impossible to choose just one or two! There was Cocoa Puffs, a family favorite, and, of course, the ever delicious Lucky Charms, along with about a million and two other options for her to consider. How was one expected to choose? It was just too much pressure!!
Finally, after much deliberation, Maxine threw a box of Cocoa Pebbles and Fruit Loops into her cart, promising the inanimate objects that next week she would get Honey Nut Cheerios and Lucky Charms. She didn't want any of the cereals to feel left out... except, that is, for the gross ones.
As she started to leave the cereal aisle and head for the candy counter(every cabnit needed some candy in it!) she noticed someone she knew standing near where she just was, someone she hadn't noticed, staring at the Frosted Flakes. It was Zander, one of the very few people she liked in the small town of Disiree. She left her cart at the end of the aisle and walked up to him, hoping he would distract her from the choice she faced next: M&M's or Skittles.
"Hey, Zander." she said as she walked up to him. She gave him a few seconds to respond. When he didn't, she walked in front of him and started waving her hands and arms around his face, aware of the fact that she looked like a complete idiot. "Hello!?!?!? Zander? Hi!" she shouted, hoping that she would break him out of his distractedness, or, for all she knew, eyes-open sleep.
